Mulberry Leaves

Mulberry Leaves

Scientific name: Morus alba

Mulberry leaves are an excellent addition to aquariums, giving a natural look while slowly decaying and providing food supplements for fish. They create a suitable habitat for bottom dwellers, offering shelter and comfort. As a food source and nutritional supplement, mulberry leaves are particularly beneficial in freshwater aquariums. They are highly favored by betta breeders and shrimp breeders due to their buffering qualities. These leaves are ideal for shrimp, crayfish, crabs, snails, and other freshwater fish, enhancing the overall environment and well-being of the aquatic life.

  1. Remove the leaves from the package and add them to water in the required quantity. Let them sit for a few days until they sink.
  2. If you need the leaves to sink faster, follow these steps:
    • Use dechlorinated water and boil the leaves for a few minutes.
    • Stir well, then remove the leaves and let them cool.
    • Once cooled, add the leaves to the aquarium.
Emma Dawson :
I’ve been using Mulberry Leaves in my aquarium for a couple of months, and the impact has been incredible. My fish appear more active and vibrant, likely due to the nutrients these leaves naturally provide. They’re also a reliable natural aquarium supplement, helping maintain better water conditions. I got mine from a great aquascaping supplier that really focuses on quality, and I’ll definitely be ordering again.
Nathan Cole :
Adding Mulberry Leaves to my terrarium was one of the best decisions I’ve made. My reptiles and insects have taken to them immediately, and I’ve noticed they’re much more energetic and healthy. These leaves not only offer great nutritional value but also give a beautiful, natural look to the enclosure. I came across them through a well-known supplier that specializes in sustainable aquarium and terrarium products. Highly recommended!

Belly Pods

Belly pods, from the Aegle marmelos tree, are used in aquariums to release beneficial compounds, similar to Indian almond leaves. They are beneficial for fish such as bettas, angelfish, discus, and tetras, providing natural antibacterial properties and creating a healthy aquatic environment.

Indian Almond leaves

Indian almond leaves (catappa leaves) and jackfruit leaves are beneficial for betta fish in aquariums. Indian almond leaves release tannins with antibacterial and antifungal properties, helping to maintain water quality, lower pH levels naturally, and reduce stress. Jackfruit leaves also release tannins, conditioning water and creating a natural environment that supports betta fish health and well-being.
